Kisser hopes for a hit encore in John Prine's old recording studio

Brian Lea and Leina Horii always wanted more than one restaurant.

The walls of their 800-square-foot firstborn concept, Kisser, couldn’t hold all their culinary ideas.

“There’s so many things that we wished that we could do at Kisser, but we opened it on such a shoestring budget that we just don’t have the space, or even the equipment or the room for the equipment to do so many of the things that we wanted to do,” Horii told the Business Journal. “It was very natural in the thought of, ‘Well when we open our second location, we can do all those fun things.'”
